The ingredients needed to make Spinach Rice:
- Prepare 1 cup basmati rice/rice
- Get 1 onion
- Prepare 1 cup palak(spinach) leaves
- Take 1 inch ginger
- Prepare 6-8 garlic cloves
- Prepare 1 green chilli
- Take 1 tsp garam masala
- Take 1 inch cinnemom stick
- Take 1 black Cardamom
- Take 3-4 peppercorns

- Make ready 1/2 tsp sugar
- Take as needed dry fruits (Cashews and raisins) for garnishing

Instructions to make Spinach Rice:
- In a pressure cooker add ghee roast cashews and raisins and keep aside.
- Grind palak, onion, chilli, ginger and garlic to smooth paste
- Add whole spices and saute. Add palak puree and saute till rawness goes
- Add washed and soaked rice and saute a minute
- Add garam masala, slat, sugar, garam masala and water and pressure cook for a whistle
- Garnish with cashews and raisins and serve
